Happy Halloween, kids!! -- Posted from Sherman's pocket.

Halloween at Westview High School!

Even when I was their age nothing scared me more than a room full of high school students, so when Bryan called me asking if I would go with Aaron and him to Westview High School’s Halloween party I was more than a little anxious. Turns out that Westview has a Heavy Metal Club that meets every Wednesday and listens to metal records! We had a similar thing in my high school but it met everyday in the back of a ’69 Chevy Nova. So anyway, every year they have a Halloween party/ pumpkin carving contest and they asked the boys to be the judges. Turns out I wasn’t alone in being terrified. As we drove in to the parking lot a weird quiet came over the car, until Aaron said “ I’m scared shitless. It was one thing when you’re actually in school and you’re young, awkward and semi-good looking, but now all we are is awkward.” Truer words were never spoken. Just to try and get in the whole “High School Vibe” Bryan immediately got out of the car and ran off campus to smoke. I wish I got a picture o

Pontiac, Michigan 10/13/09- Columbus, Ohio 10/15/09

Quick note: I put this in one solid post so you could read it in order instead of having to start at the bottom. Also this, like 99% of this blog, was written in the back of a van doing 75 MPH, crammed filled with a bunch of dudes crawling all over, filling said van with their own brand of noxious gasses and generally being distracting. So I apologize for any typos. You know what scratch that. No I don’t. You’re reading a blog written by a high school graduate about a bunch of dudes driving around the countryside playing heavy rock music. What do you expect, Hemmingway? All right we got a lot of ground to cover, you comfy? In your favorite chair, maybe a nice cup of coco or a white wine spritzer? Okay let’s go. Pontiac, Michigan 10/13/09 As to keep with his tradition of keeping me pissed off, John took yet another crap crowd photo: Surprise, huh? For the life of me I cannot remember the bartenders name at the Crofoot. but he is a hell of a nice guy. If you ever stop by keep an eye out

I'll fill you in soon, I promise.

I got some stories for ya. They'll be up soon. Promise. -- Post from Coyle's pocket.

Chicago, Illinois 10/12/09

It’s weird that after only three times through Chicago is starting to feel like a home away from home. The boys and girls at Reggie’s took great care of us, and saw a lot of familiar faces. Thanks to everyone who came out. Okay enough of the ass kissin’, let’s get to the dirt. After the show we hijacked Cyrus out of the Saviours van and headed across town to meet up with our buddy Cary who you might remember from here . He was just shutting his bar down and we walked in just in time to watch him kick out a well-dressed man in his late fifties who had brought in his own Busch tall boy. I knew things were going to get weird from there. He poured enough tequila down our throats to kill a Chihuahua and we headed to a bar by his house to do some more damage. By the time we finally made back to Cary’s house the only thing I could think about was eating the greasiest food I could find. He pointed me in the direction of Loraine’s Dinner, which I could have sworn he said was one block to the ri

Minneapolis, Minnesota 10/11/09

Another long drive put us in to Minneapolis with enough time to actually sit down and enjoy a meal and some pinball at the Triple Rock before the boys went on. FYI: The food there rules. I recommend the meatloaf. Just like mom used to make. If mom lived in a bar that put on rock shows. This was our first time at the Triple Rock and I hope it’s not the last. Great staff, good food, awesome sound, we’re looking forward to making it back that way soon. The sound was so good they did a line check on John’s air guitar: Sonny made even made a new friend: Man, not much of a post. Well, you can win ‘em all. —Coyle Tour To Live!
