9/18/09- Seattle, The Comet Tavern

How are ya? It’s been a while. Yes, I have lost some weight, thanks for asking. And you—is that a new haircut? No? Oh… Enough of the small talk, lets get down to it. So we went up to Seattle last weekend to play a show with our friends Saviours, I got all these amazing photos of Aaron juggling three Mini Coopers while breathing fire and shit, but then I left the camera at my good friend Manny’s house, so… Instead I’m gonna tell you about my last trip up to Seattle when the boys played at The Sunset, ‘cause I got photos from that and well, I’m to cheap to have Manny ship my camera down here when we will be back up there next month when we tour with Kylesa. I took the train up on Friday to watch the Yankees play the Mariners with Sean Clair and Adam Johnson: After watching the Yanks whoop up on the M’s we headed over to my favorite bar in Seattle, Shorty’s. For those of you who have never been, Shorty’s is a pinball players paradise. An entire room chocked full of games ranging from the ...

CRACKHEADS are the worst.

I wish I had some more rad photos of recording this weekend, but my house was broken into yesterday and my camera was stolen! Yikes! Pretty sure it was crackheads, as all they took was a grip of cash and the camera. So, if someone "cracky" sells you a cannon digicam on the street for 10 bucks, check to see if there are hilarious videos of us being idiots in the studio. On a more positive note, the session is is turning out better than we could have hoped for. Basic tracking is done and it sounds pretty bitchin. It's gonna be some time before it's finished and even more before it's released, but rest assured! Red Fang is hard at work and we ain't stopping. See you on the road soon! JS

Stopped in on the boys in the studio yesterday...

In my opinon... Well let's just say, You better hope that healthcare plan goes through before this album drops, because your face is gonna get torn off. -Record to tour to live! -- Post from Coyle's pocket.

Started tracking the new record today.

Loaded in way more gear than we own (thanks, friends, for the loaners), set up a bajillion mics and started burnin' up tape today. So far so good! The word "THICK" comes to mind.. We're moving pretty fast - should have had 7 songs today, but the tape ran out about 3 seconds before the end of "Bad Places" and we decided to bag it for the night. So, 6 down, 11 to go!! Looking forward to tomorrow. -JS
