Huntington, West Virginia/ What The F?

Okay. You ready for this? I am dead asleep in the back of the van, dreaming about naked girls serving me cheeseburgers when I wake up to smoke pouring out of the front of the van. Of course I'm dead asleep, so I have no idea what the fuck is going on. My first thought is “We're goin' down!” I got arm loads of bags, starting to throwing gear out the back, yelling “Stop, drop and roll! Stop drop and roll!” Turns out the van was just overheating. I tend to overreact. This normally wouldn't be that big of a deal, but, seeing as the boys just spent a mellow grand on a tune up (including a new radiator) we knew something was up. A call was placed to AAA where Aaron got one of the most inept operators in the history of time. No matter how many times we told her exactly where we were and what was wrong, she would ask for our location as well as our problem. It was like a goddamn Monty Python sketch. After about thirty minutes of this, she tells us that a tow truck is on the way...

A Whole Lotta Drivin'

Denver/ A Trip To The ER

Once again, Denver fucking ruled! Getting there was a little sketchy though. We hit a wall of fog outside of Cheyenne that was like driving through warm mayo. We couldn't see three feet in front of us and when you turned on the windshield wipers it would just coat the window with what looked like a year's worth of soap scum. John almost got a ruptured retina from the eye strain. It was our first time at 3 Kings, but Jeff and his crew took great care of us. Even our old friends from the Hi-Dive helped out by lending us some sub-woofers for the P.A. Thanks guys. The openers, TaunTaun and Kingdom Of Magic, melted our faces off if you get a chance to see either of them, go, you will not be let down. Thanks to everyone that showed up on a Sunday night, it was awesome. Aaron's folks live in Denver and his mom had made us a huge burrito buffet for dinner but due to the attack of the blob in Wyoming we couldn't make it. So after the show it was back to their house to do our wor...

Salt Lake City!

It might just look like david took a shitty photo of he crowd, but what you don't know is that it's not his fault, his camera was on acid. Some real sketchy stuff, it was brown and had a little picture of a Bandito flipping you off on it. After this picture was taken his camera thought it was a banana, and for like six hours it wouldn't let anybody near it, 'cause it was afraid people were going to peel and eat it. Some real heavy shit. Besides that, it was easily the best SLC show in Red Fang history. The staff at the venue was awesome, sound guy ruled and crowd was cool as hell. Both opening bands ( Bird Eater and Top Dead Celebrity ) were great and stand up dudes to boot. Then to top it all off Jesse from Top Dead Celebrity hooks us with a free room at his family's hotel about eighty miles towards Denver. Hands down one of the coolest things to happen on tour in a long time. So far we've been driving too much to get in any real amount of trouble. But as soo...

Boise!

One show down, fifty-something to go. The Neurolux took care of us, we were a little scared at first due to the fact that when we showed up there was a guy sitting on the stage, in the dark, chain smoking, by himself. Oh, and there as also two guys wrestling on the ground in front of said stage. Besides that everything went off without a hitch. We stayed with our friend Greg: He owns a skate shop in Boise called Prestige, if you are in town stop by and tell 'em Red Fang sent you. That being said, we'd like to introduce the first installment of (triumphant horns in the background) “Meet The Dudes.” Today we 'd like you to meet guitar player David Sullivan. That's him. Sleeping as usual. On average David sleeps somewhere between fourteen and twenty-four hours a day. The hours he is awake consist of writing computer code that would give Stephen Hawking a stroke and filling his body with the most random assortment of foods ever seen. Don't believe me? For lunch today h...

East Bound And Down...

Here we go. After months of wait, we are finally out on that dusty road once again. Shifts have gotten covered, merch has been organized, calls made, emails sent, punches thrown, songs practiced, gear fixed, van tuned up, bags packed, girlfriends and wives kissed good bye, teeth given one final brushing (or in Bryan's case, their first), van loaded and rubber burned. This is the reason we live: To tour. We have spent the last two months preparing for the next two. Slowing adjusting our bodies to a diet of fast food and cheap beer to avoid toxic shock, sleeping on bags of old shoes with a dog hair covered pillow on a ferret piss stained carpet while Motorhead blares an inch from our heads... We are ready for anything the road can throw at us. There is nothing that can keep us from this. Looking forward to melting your faces. Tour To Live!
